The Requisite ‘About Me’ Section:
I’m a second-generation native Miamian, and I grew up raising cows and horses on 5 acres way out west in Sunshine Ranches. I sold real estate for 14 years and near the end I was mentally bored. At 32 I decided to quit real estate and walked into Tiffany Photographic and applied for an assistant’s job without even owning a camera! I started with nothing more than my passion to learn and now 34 years later, I’ve traveled the entire world shooting events, weddings, and headshots. Photography has given me the superpower to walk into any room, no matter the location or audience, and create indelible images. I feel that aside from mastery of the tools, being present in the moment and connecting with people are my best attributes and the reason for my success.
During the COVID Pandemic, I took a cue from two of my fellow photographers from Louisiana and Massachusetts to engage with families from outside on their front porch while I remained safely set up my camera and lights on the sidewalk. I wanted to give the families a reason to get dressed up and step outside during one of the most stressful life events ever. I called this The Front Porch Project. The portrait photography project covered such a wide range of the community, the Galleria Fort Lauderdale sponsored my first-ever, one-person art show when the mall reopened to the public. Non-Profits and Charities:
While I do appreciate these milestones, I reserve special time for causes near and dear to my heart. I am an advocate, sponsor, and benefactor for many local charities and community service organizations but specifically The Heart Gallery, a non-profit organization that showcases traveling photo exhibits of adoptable children seeking Forever Families. I am also a lifetime member at Leadership Broward which keeps me at the forefront of pressing issues in the community. (Photo: Our 32nd Studio Anniversary where we raised $6.5k for FLoatarama)

In the same year, I was recognized by The Heart Gallery of Broward for my 14 years of service to the children with no voices. My Team:
Johnathan (or Johnny), also a South Florida native, has spent his entire life in the region. Raised by a large Colombian-Ecuadorian family in West Broward, he has always had a deep connection to his roots. His passion for exploring South Florida and venturing abroad has been a constant in his life, always accompanied by a camera.
Initially, Johnathan’s interest in photography started as a fascination, but it transformed into a true passion when he began collaborating with Michael back in 2021. Since then, he has ascended to the role of Michael’s lead photographer, engaging with numerous national and local organizations. Guided by Michael’s expertise, Johnathan has refined his skills, specializing in corporate events, headshots, and real estate photography. Today, his work reflects the same level of excellence as Michael’s, a true testament to the mentorship he has received.
Despite his more reserved nature, Johnathan consistently delivers the same skilled and professional service as Michael. He takes great pride in his work and feels grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the team’s success.
